Join Krista for a night of fun getting to make and take a Christmas coconut soy wax candle! Get creative and customize your very own scent. All fragrances are free from phthalates and carcinogens. Because of the possibility of spilling wax or oil, you may not want to wear your favorite clothing. Class duration is expected to be 2 hours for adequate time for wax to harden, but may be done earlier.

About your instructor:

My name is Krista Tirrel. My husband, Jordan, and I run a home-based business called The Root Cellar Apothecary and Market, and we also manage the Frederic Farmer’s Market. We make non-toxic alternatives for your home and table, including candles and wax melts, liquid soap for hand washing or dishwashing, diaper balm, herbal salve, room/body mist, lip balm, and continue to expand our product line slowly but surely. We also have 3 big gardens and sell our produce at the Frederic Farmers’ Market, and do not use any pesticides, etc., and only use natural means for fertilizer.

Though I do enjoy running our business, the most important achievement and job I have is called Mom. We have a 2-year-old, and she is a large part of why we decided to start our business in the first place. This world has gotten too full of harmful chemicals in everything we use and eat.

A quirky fact about me: I love music, and when I say all kinds, I really do mean it. I love old stuff like Tony Bennett and The Rolling Stones, but I’ve also been known to throw down to some 90s rap or Swedish metal. :-S

You are not considered registered unless you are paid OR arrangements to pay have been made!

All classes are available if you can see them, classes will be removed if full or a wait list will be added. A minimum of 5 people are needed for the class to happen . Registration must be completed 1 week prior to classes. You will be notified via email 2-3 days prior to the event with confirmation and further instructions.
