Class Cancellation Policies

Questions?
Call (715) 349-7070 or e-mail: comed@siren.k12.wi.us

Register Early
Pre-registration is necessary for classes. Classes may be cancelled if not enough people sign up. If a class or event is cancelled, you will be notified.

Inclement Weather
If school is cancelled, Community Education classes are cancelled as well. Tune into radio stations: WCCO (830 AM), WCMP (1350 AM, 100.9 FM), WJMC (1240 AM, 96.1 FM), WGMO (95.3 FM), or television stations: WCCO Minneapolis/St. Paul, KSTP Minneapolis/St. Paul, KBJR Superior Duluth, FOX 9 TV, KARE Minneapolis/St. Paul. Make up classes will likely be scheduled when classes are closed due to inclement weather.

Cancellation Policy
If you have to cancel, we can give a full refund only if you notify the Community Education Office at least 24 hours prior to the first class meeting. Refunds after a class has begun will be given only in extreme circumstances and may be subject to a processing fee. In the event your class is cancelled, we will give a full refund.

WITC
Many of our classes are offered in collaboration with Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (WITC). This partnership offers benefits such as Continuing Education Credits, and reduced rates for seniors aged 62 and older. If a WITC class is cancelled, WITC will issue a refund directly to your credit card (if credit card was your payment method).
