A gentle Ballet class for dancers of all ages 18-100! This class is designed for anyone looking to exercise and learn basic dance technique. Your instructor will clearly demonstrate the positions, at a comfortable pace, and take you through a series of exercises, sometimes using a chair for balance. You will focus on improving your posture and balance. Enjoy dancing, learn beautiful movements, all while getting a fabulous workout.
Build poise and grace AND have fun! Ballet provides many physical benefits, as it strengthens the entire body and increases flexibility, as well as improves your posture. It not only works the legs, but develops muscle tone in the abdominals, arms, back and hips. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) recognizes the benefits of dance in lowering coronary heart disease risk, decreasing blood pressure, and managing weight. No formal or traditional ballet wear is required, just bring water and wear non-marking indoor tennis shoes.
