The Heartsaver First Aid Course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills you need to recognize emergencies, and to give CPR and first aid until EMS arrives. The goal of the course is to train laypeople in first aid assessments and actions, which have been shown to make a difference in mortality and morbidity rates.
